I had a very long night. I watched each hour roll by and finally hopped back in the hot shower about 4am and got a little relief. I had four showers yesterday...seems like the best relief.
Therapy was painful but wonderful! He agreed that I have "frozen shoulder" and was pretty hopeful that they could help without having to have the MRI and being put under to "loosen" it up, but warned that it was going to be a painful process. I pushed it as far as I possibly could this am. I am to do the exercises 3x a day at home. He couldn't believe I have not taken anything for pain yet, and I explained that I can stand this pain more than barfing for two days if I get a migraine from the pain meds (sorry) =)
He is going to call Dr. Michels and see if he would send prescript for the "muscle zapper" machine to help relieve pain. That would be a blessing. I have very little pain right now, (compared to what it was) from my stiff neck or in my shoulder. He warned that that would be short lived since we did so much work on it this am. I am going to go grab a nap before I head back over to get Michael. I feel soooooo much better right now!!!
.....8:57 pm.......
I am supposed to do my "exercises" 3x a day. I have had very little pain. I apply heat before and after. I have to admit, I can not push my arm as far as I did at therapy this morning, but I had the muscle "stimulator" at therapy this morning before and he pulled my arm "out of the socket"..kind of...for a while as well, and I think that loosened it up more. I am sooooo thankful that it is better today. My stiff neck is not totally gone, but after that stimulator on there twice this morning..that is livable as well. I am sooo looking forward to some real hours of sleep tonight. I took a 45 minute nap this afternoon...with very little pain..and it was wonderful!
