We had Andy, Anna & Calvin, Adam, Kristin & Family, Eric & Stephanie, and Brent & Kari and family (new family from church who live in Ashland) over for a "Lightening Bug Picnic" last night.
I got all the kids bug huts and they spent the evening playing games and catching lightening bugs. It was a buggy night. While we were eating a bunch of little black beatles kept landing on us. The kids made the best of that and were putting them in their bug huts before the lightening bug catch started.
The guys played a bit of basketball and the girls visited.
We ended the evening with a game of Mad Gab and the girls won! We were glad everybody could come!
Edit: I totally forgot we played that second game!...no really!!... So I give the guys the praise due! =) ......and the offer of a re-match sometime... ; )

I wish we could have stayed for the game! Thanks again for a great evening with everyone...we really enjoyed it and were glad you planned and cooked for all of us!
Now those are cool effects! :)
It must have indeed been a good evening for fireflies. We drove past our old house on our way home from Omaha this evening, and saw quite a few drifting around in the old yard. You just can't beat the country for some things. (A lot of things, actually. Ok, stopping now before I get myself going ;))

Looks like a lot of Fun!
I just want to leave a note of thanks for having us over on Friday. All of us had a really great time. Our kids really enjoyed playing with your grandkids and the bug huts were a really neat idea. The kids just don't seem to be able to put them down now!
We are thankful for your hospitality and fellowship. Your family is a wonderful glory to God.
In the love of Christ,
Brent
P.S. - I concede that the men lost the first game of Mad Gab, but I do believe that we took the second one narrowly. Ain't that right, Andy? (I'm just messin' around!)
P.S.S. - Tell Michael that I was really impressed with the way he shot the basketball.
