
Look who came to visit Grandpa and Grammy today! Both of these sweeties are growing like weeds! Cami is quite the artist now! I need to scan in one of her Elmos! He even has shoes! Their Mama and Daddy were here too, but I never snapped a photo of them today.
Harvest is still moving forward. No breakdowns of our equipment, but still slow going and actually the corn is getting too dry for the feeder, so they are searching fields for some higher moisture, so we can keep hauling over there. Too wet for the bins and too dry for the feeder that we are hauling to. We are thankful to have one 80 done today (Mays).
Busy days ahead. I still need to get some casseroles and desserts stocked in the freezer. I am usually doing that about now. I miss my farmers market daughter who used to bring back what she didn't sell and I popped all the nut breads and cookies and rolls in my freezer for harvest. I did bake a batch of oatmeal-walnut cookies and will make the rest of the dough into balls and pop them in the freezer for later baking. ...
