It is a beautiful, crisp, fall morning. I just had to take a little walk around the farm and grab some photos. I have most of the grandbabies coming out this evening, so had to stop at the store in Wahoo this morning and grab a treat or two.....
A few of the daisies are reblooming. The flowers have really held on with the rains.
I have some corn on the front door, but haven't brought down my buddy scarecrow from the attic yet.
A lot of the leaves are trying to change. Bits of red and gold are dancing in the sunlight this morning. A few more cool nights and they will be well on their way.I have a dr. appt. on Monday to get my shoulder examined. My friend, Janice, had almost identical symptoms and she was treated for a "frozen" shoulder. I hurt it back in May and it just continues to get worse. I can only raise it about a foot from my side. I can raise it up straight out in front, all the way ...almost. I only get naps at night as I can't find a good position and it just has a dull ache all the time. Probably doesn't help that I have been painting my ceiling for a week. I can only paint for about 15 minutes and have to take about a 10 minute break. I got a lot done yesterday. Still have a lot to go. Will take a break from it today and get some laundry and cleaning done.
The guys are still harvesting on our corn...moved to "Ernies 80" now. Will fix breaded pork cutlets, scalloped potatoes and green beans for dinner. I'll have to save some for Michael. He is at work today and will not be happy he missed this "lunch in a box". =)
