First Day of Harvest...and Ray's birthday party...

We we officially started harvest today. Things aren't great but we are thankful that the crop is good despite the downed corn. Do to a door forgotten open when it was inspected, Michael and I will have a little "pick up ears of corn" party tomorrow...for several hundred feet. The guys are very thankful they put on the "Roll a Cones". I guess they really help to get the corn picked up and fed into the head. We knew it was going to be a long harvest and will just continue to pray for patience....

Here are a few photos from Monday, when the kids and the folks and Josh & Steve were over. We celebrated Raymond's second birthday. I didn't have a cake and candles photo to share, as I think I was bringing in the cake and then holding Calvin, so will have to get a few of those photos to put in my folder, too. The kids all enjoyed rides on the 4-wheeler and Raymond opened his presents out on the picnic table. He will celebrate again with the Johnson side sometime and again with us when Brian and Rylie come up in October.
