The guys went to Husker Harvest Days yesterday and said it was one of the most beautiful days they remember being out there. They always learn a lot and come home with lots of material to look at. (Great stuff for them to look at while sitting in a truck waiting to unload).
I stayed home and cleaned my closet. I am moving summer out and winter in...and giving up. I have a whole big sack of things that have seemed to shrink over the years and I know someone else might still get some use of of them. =) Daut has recommended giving them to the City Mission as their family serves there and she said there is a real need. Some of these things would make nice work clothes for some gal trying to get back on her feet.
Michael is looking forward to riding in the combine when he gets home from work today. One of his favorite things is "lunch in a box". I take meals out in styrofoam boxes and he loves the surprise of what might be in them. This is a photo of him with one from last year...thought he might like this...
This field has the most corn lying flat and will be the most challenging this year. I was glad to see some standing when I went out to get my BIL. It had several acres that were blown flat and under water for weeks. That corn is ruined, but the rest just takes time to get picked up and run through the machine. It will be a long harvest, but we are thankful for the crop that is there.
I think all graphics are Shabby Miss Jenn.....

Love the lunch in a box~ You are a smarty to think of putting it in a styrofoam tray.
