I don't think they could hardly get one more kernel of corn in that bin!
This is on the Proctor farm. This corn is standing pretty good in this part of the field. Michael is in the combine with his dad. Grandpa is in the tractor coming along with the combine and Uncle Steve is in this tactor closest to me.
Michael was pretty pleased to get his sack lunch.....one of his favorite reasons for riding along!
They eat quick while unloading and off they go again.
It is always good to get a break to get out and stretch. Steve still wears his brace. We are just thankful he is still out here farming after his accident in the spring.

These were taken yesterday. Later in the evening...for some reason...one side of the corn head fell off and did a lot of damage to the head. They drove it up to John Deere and are over there now helping fix it. There is an 80% chance of rain today, so I imagine that harvest will not continue for a few days but we were very close to have 500 acres of corn out (if they could have finished this field last night).

Too bad about the corn head! It's always something, isn't it?! These are awesome harvesting photos, Mom!
