Our Flakey Family

What a change a day makes. It is windy and cold today. A pot of soup for lunch and the flakey family set out at my sink just makes my day, now that it actually feels like winter! Kristin made these for me several years ago when my origional family was found ruined in the attic. A leak in the roof dripped right on top of their storage container and when I opened it before Christmas they were all mildewed. Daut came to the rescue and what a wonderful Christmas surprise they all were. As the our family has grown over the years...so has our flakey family. They all have something personal about them and I know who each one represents as I lovingly lift them from their box. I just love having them at the kitchen bay this year. As I look at their smiles, I can't help but smile back at them with love! =) I am the one always holding the new grand baby. Can you guess who the rest of them are?? Raymond will be joining shortly...he had to give Grammy's arms up to Calvin.. =)

I'm glad these bring you so much joy. They have by far been one of the funnest handmade projects I've ever done :) Ray will be coming soon-my plan is to have him to you by Sunday.
