Beauty of the Morning.....

Kids...remember how much Sadie loved the snow? I can't believe she has been gone for nine years now. The pretty snow this morning reminded me of the photo below and then I came across this one of Sadie. She grew up with the kids. They were pretty small when we rescued her from the Humane Society. We went in looking for a lab and came home with her. She died on Kristin's 21st birthday. We will always remember her in the soybean fields with us...coming along-side us or popping up in front of us and scaring us. =)

This photo doesn't begin to do the scene justice! When I left for therapy this morning, I could not make myself leave the driveway without hopping out and grabbing a photo of the trees. They were covered with frost and it was a nippy 3° out. I was wishing I would have ran back inside and got the other camera, but the little point and shoot will have to do for today. I wish you could see how the limbs just sparkled as the sun was beginning to rise and it was completely still out. I am so thankful to live out here........ =)
