Missing the snow...............not!

First...I remember when the kids were in high school and that "thing" started. They thougtht I was such a dork. "I love to unload the dishwasher.....not!..... I have plenty of money for the game.....not!".......I didn't get it and it had to be explained to me.
Of course we had our own fads when I was a teen....I was a child of the 60's and 70's....we had all kinds of "stuff"........everything was groovy and neat and we had peace all over the place...it just took me longer to catch on when I spent years with babies instead of people my own age and had to catch up with this new generation lingo. I'm trying to think of some of the things my grand kids have taught me that is groovy now...or sweet, or, uh...whatever they would say... =)

We are enjoying this weather. I do not want to rub it in, but I do "not" miss that snow back home and know how good it is for us to get out and walk. I love that Michael begs to go for walks down here....it is because he loves to go shopping.....but we walked another 3+ miles yesterday. We have a big mall just north of here about a mile and he loves the Barnes and Noble Bookstore. Pops and I walked over to a little strip mall near us later..He went to the Radio Shack and I visited a new little shop that monograms everything, and the sweetest Scrapbook Barn. I always get ideas looking at all the examples they have and they have the prettiest ribbons in there!

Michael took us out to Pizza Hut later with his Christmas gift cards...and we took him to Fry's electronics. Our favorite thing there is the massage chair, while Michael could spend hours looking at all the DVDs. We all love that place. Michael LOVES to shop and I would think he would be getting sick of it already, but he always has a plan for tomorrow.

Today the guys are going to another car show....this one is free...somewhere up in Scottsdale.

Miss Smiley is coming today thru Monday...and I can hardly wait! I have not seen her yet and I am ready to pop! Her other grandparents are down here visiting and she has been spending time with them and I am so ready for my turn!! The park across the street is just waiting for us!!

Well, "menu-man" has ordered pancakes for breakfast (he thought he was going back over to McD's for breakfast, and I informed him ...one day a week...pick you day next week... he frowns...) He thought pancakes would be just fine.... so I'll go get them started.

Looks like you guys are having a great time! It is 14 degrees here, but perfect in the house! Sort of like our summers in Phoenix-- it may have been 116 outside, but always a nice 76 or so inside! Just glad I don't have to be out there!

Anna took Caroline roller skating this morning, then we all met at Sonic for lunch, then I took Will bowling after lunch. I think Will and Caroline have had fun this week, but I'm sure they're also ready to see their parents again tomorrow to get back to normalcy.

Have a great weekend!
Andy

Just got back home awhile ago...can you make me some pancakes, Mom? That'd be 'totally wicked' ;)
