Guy Time....

Eric and Robert Alm picked Steve up this morning and they headed to the Barrett-Jackson car auction. I am glad he got to go this year. Last January he watched the speed channel for days. (He has had it on down here since we got here as well =). There are some awesome cars going through auction and it is just fun to walk around and see them and reminisce about the old car days. Those that know my hubby very well know he sold a pretty sweet 68 Chevelle in order to afford to buy our first home when we got married. I had always hoped he would be able to buy it back one day, but the original owner did end up with it...which is perfect anyway.
This is what it looked liked, but was much higher in the back. It was not even street-drivable when we were dating. We dated in Dad's old pickup for a while. After we had been dating a few months, he bought a new Chevy Vega and that was our car for the first couple of years we were married ..until we had Brian and needed to get a baby carrier and car seats in and out. The car days were over.
Michael and I walked a couple of miles this morning. It is easy, as he wanted breakfast at McDonalds and it is about half a mile away. We need to pick up a few things at Walgreen's so we just kept walking. We did wear our winter coats, as it is chilly and breezy for Phoenix, but I love the green grass and palm trees. I am a little dissapointed that the wisteria trees aren't blooming near here. They smell soooooo good. Hopefully they will bloom in the next few weeks! ..If they do I'll post a photo. I would love to plant some back home, but don't think they are real hardy and it is sooo cold and open out on the farm.
Well, Michael is hungry again....go figure! Better feed the boy....all for now... =)
