It was a wonderful weekend in Nebraska. We shed very few tears, shared many hugs and got a lot of work done! I have never stayed over one night at Adam and Kristin, so it was fun waking up to their household five mornings! =) I am sooooo glad I was there!!
The first night there, after the initial surprise.... =)... Daut fed the kids supper and readied them for AWANA. We made the run to Menard.s for supplies for the next day.
I probably got paint on these babies from time to time, but stole many hugs over the weekend!
On Friday, Xander and I went over to school and had lunch with Will.
Will took us back to his room and showed us around. This is his desk. It was a much nicer day than the day before when we had lunch with Caroline. They were having recess outside, so he was in a bit of a hurry to show us around and get outside with his buddies. =)
Xander earned enough stars to get a Web.Kin.z so we went to Shopk.o after the lunch visit and he picked out this cute reindeer and named him Reindy (not sure that is how he spells it..)
Not all work.....the kids taught me how to play Clue Jr. I did NOT win! =)
Kristin grabbed a photo while we were still all at the table...
My last day...monday morning, Anna, Cami and Calvin stopped by to help. The family room was primered and we all started early, after Adam and the big kids were out the door for the day, and finished the final painting. It looks so nice. Here Anna is painting up the short side of the stairs. The tall side will be hired done..as it needs scaffolding to reach it. It was so fun working together and watching the lists get checked off. Maybe you could take a photo of some of the lists, Daut? I wish I would have thought of that! I miss you all already!!

I miss you all already!!I left in the early afternoon and stopped and got the cat another big bag of catfood at Sam'sClub and on to Wahoo for therapy on my arms again. Lost a bit of ground on my frozen shoulder, in one area, but happy that I am at full rotation on two and very close on the third. That forth is a booger...will keep working on that...
After the therapy, I headed back out to the farm and printed off my plane ticket and repacked my bag for the airport. Sue came by to run me back to the airport. I had to go out and call "Cecil the Diesel" I know he really loves his "daddy" the best. When he came in, he ran straight to the food dish...gee thanks a lot... =). He didn't seem that interested in getting petted until I ran the pickup keys back in and then he grabbed my leg as if to say "Wait a minute...I didn't mean it....I DO want you to pet me. A quick pet and off to the airport.
I took a carryon, so headed straight for my gate. I asked for some hot water and poured in my Chai "special blend" and sat down to relax and wait for my plane. In about five minutes, my sweet husband called and said..."I was looking online and see that your flight is delayed about an hour". Bummers...I hadn't even looked. I knew what gate I needed to go to, so didn't even check the screens. I guess the weather in Chicago caused the delay. Amy and Cheryl...are you ready to come down yet? Egads..you have sure had the weather there this year!!! At any rate, I was ready to see Michael and Steve and they did a great job keeping house while I was gone. A little laundry to do and a bit of grocery shopping is on the schedule for this morning. Michael is up and took out the trash already. He is ready to get going for the day!

It was sure nice having you here those days! I know it meant a great deal to Kris especially. Now it's back to the grind for you, with those difficult days of vacationing ahead. ;)
Praying for you guys!
OH...We're ready alright!!!! Another 6-12" headed our way tonight! Wait till you hear how the Lord has gone before us...right down to Dennis' new job and the fact that he "happens" to be needed in Minneapolis the exact week we are going to be in Arizona! Who'd a thunk it?
Glad you're back with your buds...even though you were muchly needed in Nebraska last week!
Hey Michael...Amy and I are geared up for a BD party! We hear someone just got a year older down in Arizona! WHO could that be??
Looks like you had a productive, memory building time with your daughter! I'd love to have you as a mom!!!
