Yesterday afternoon, we headed north (Phoenix, that is... =) to visit cousin Carol and husband Norm. We headed over to the Deer Valley Rock Art Center for a fun field trip. That is one thing about Phoenix...there is not a lack of things to see and do! There is a nice center that explains what Petroglyphs are (drawings scratched on the rocks) and a film explaining the finds and the trail showing the rocks. We went back to their house after touring, and had a great supper and played a few games of UNO, which pleased Michael, and just a great time of catching up!Click on photo to enlarge it....................
We found out yesterday, that our furnace is on the blink. The repair man called while we were gone, so hopefully they can make it by today, to fix it. It has been getting down in the 30's at night, so we really do need it! We turned the oven on and took the chill off, but will be nice to have it fixed. It is supposed to be up in the 70's by this weekend. It has been below normal high temps most of the time we have been here, so jackets/ coats have been worn every day, but I'm sure not going to complain after my few days back in NE! Like the kids say...at least we are not scraping sunshine off our windows! No frost in the mornings, let alone inches of snow!
Andy is coming for the weekend to visit friends and spend a little time with Brian & Rylie and us. It will be fun having him here! It is so weird...it seems like they should still be down here, but is natural having them in NE now, too! It still seems like we should be able to drive down to Pecos Road and turn off and go to their house here. So glad they live in NE though!! =) Wish you and the babies were coming too, Anna!! =)
Better go feed the boy. He is patiently waitning for breakfast and head out for a walk.... =)

Actually don't feel too sorry, I feel like I'm on vacation myself...took Cami out to my folks today and stayed for awhile. I'll paint our front room tomorrow during Calvin's nap and hopefully get some errands done...but do rub it in a little, doesn't hurt to get a little sympathy out of that sweet husband of mine. :)
