Wonderful Rain....

What does a hard-working farmer do when he works sun-up to sun-down for weeks to get his crop in...and the night that the last seed drops gently into the ground ...and the planter is put away in the shed...and the rain starts to fall around midnight and again the next day....? OF COURSE!! He comes home from a hard morning of solving the world's problems in the coffee shop.... to a recliner calling his name..... and takes a nice long nap! =)
Handsome husband dumped the rain gauge that read 1.5 inches before farmwife could snap a photo of it...but this is a photo of the day here. It is cool, cloudy and wet. Those are beautiful rows of nice baby corn plants, lining ever so straight out from my front porch. The puddles are a welcome site this morning. We are blessed..... =)

Makes me yawn just seeing a comfy Dad on his chair after a long hard spring!

What a blessing to have such a rain just after the last kernels are in!

You know...there are so many things that come to my mind seeing Steve in his chair!

1. He looks alot like my non-farmer hubby!

2. PTL for the hard work AND the rain that followed perfectly.

3. As the kids prayed about their wedding date, they decided to plan it earlier instead of during or after planting...can you imagine dealing with dear ol' Dad AND be getting ready for a wedding?? Ohhhh God is good!

4. Makes me wanna sleep...g'night Olivia!

I had to tell you...Ally came over today and said that they have 5 "corns" coming up! Yes, that's FIVE CORNS! Isn't that cute?? She doesn't know where the rest went...but they DO live in the country! They have a pesky neighbor dog that loves to trample that soft rich dirt....so who knows where the rest of those "corns" went! Ha!

Haha! I love my uncle asleep on the chair! My dad would say he's doing it right ;) Good to hear things are going well.

Oh, and I enjoy your writing in this one too ;)
