Tuesday's Rain.......(our Tarpenning Farm)

mouse over photo to stop the pages from turning. When it rains...it pours ....about every three days. We have had around 16 inches of rain in the last four weeks..... We found out this farm has almost five inches of rain...just yesterday's rain....

The good news...When the kids look at houses they will know the ones that have a "wet" basement!

Hope your crops make it!

Sitting here facing the potential of water restrictions because we have been without rain for SO long, I couldn't help but open up to Job 37 as I saw your recent pictures. Admittedly, in my own heart as I've read the weekly updates on various neighbors farms, I've questioned in my mind why God would seem so "senseless" and "ruthless" -- doesn't He know how hard you all work and labor to provide? As I read, I paused at verse 6,7, "For to the snow He says, "Fall on the earth," and to the downpour and the rain, "Be strong." He seals the hand of every man, that ALL MEN MAY KNOW HIS WORK." Boy - by this I'm humbled. His ways are not our ways, or His thoughts our thoughts. How I'm praying that in the midst of difficulty for many of these farmers that you have the opportunity to share with them about HIS WORK. "Whether for correction, or for His world, or for lovingkindness, He causes it to happen." (vs. 13) "Therefore men fear Him; He does not regard any who are wise of heart." (vs. 24)
