Blog???

Well, yes....I do have one, and I have not fallen off the end of the earth... =)

We had a wonderful stay in Phoenix all of January and February and took wonderful side trips and had lots of fun company...and a side trip to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy for me.

Two days after we arrived, Steve's folks joined us and we headed north to see the new bridge over Hoover Dam and visit special friends in Pahrump, NV. We went to see China.Date.Ranch and a side trip up through Death Valley and to "Scottie's.Castle". It was not a castle and Scotty never did live there, but it was a fun trip...you'll just have to google it... =)


Our neighbors and good friends, Harold and Carol also came to AZ for a few days and we had fun exploring a few new restaurants and nice walks and the guys went to some fun car shows.


The highlight for Michael was a trip to Disneyland for his Christmas/birthday present. I will have to share that my stay in the hospital was just a week prior to the trip and every time he came to visit he reminded me that I needed to get well and home, because his birthday party was the following Tuesday and the trip to CA was that following weekend. Thankfully, I was given the OK by my surgeon to go and I did fine. I did end up with an allergic reaction to either my antibiotic or M.otrin, and had a terribly itchy rash for that following week, but that, too, subsided and is now just on the list of "making memories..." =) Our good friends, Brad and Jackie were there that week and went to CA with us.


Jackie and I also had a fun Valentine Brunch for some of our neighbor ladies. The theme was "Love Is"...remember that little cartoon?? We had a breakfast and some fun games and door prizes and a little talk on what real love is....verses from the bible on what God's love is. It was fun getting to know five of these sweet ladies better and I hope we can do it again next year!


We headed back the first week of March and are getting back to our 'real' lives!
