Ready for Rain and Webs.....

The report was 'rain coming by late afternoon...'. They kept cutting beans until the stems got too tough and they just won't cut anymore. The combine starts 'slugging' and it is time to quit.

These tractors have grain carts (great big wagons) on the back of them. They drive them in from the field (with beans on them) and back them into the building and shut the doors down to the drawbars.....and let it rain. They bring them out in the morning and unload them onto the now empty trucks.

We got about .80 of rain last evening and through the night, so the guys gathered at the coffee shop this morning and helped solve the world problems. =)

I went down to church and attended the Titus Tuesday ladies study. The ladies always have such inspiring studies. I need to get the cd's of the other weeks. What a great morning! Steve told me to grab the camera. He spotted all of these webs as he was backing out of the garage and looked at the sun shining on the yard west of the driveway. The 'lights' are bugs flying around and the yard is just covered with webs. I could not spot the spiders responsible, but what a site!
The sun on the lens makes this shot harder to see, but the webs just glisten in the sun...
And I am going to ruin it all for them tomorrow.........

Aw, Brian..you know what them farmers always say...those prices out there are never their fault! (still not lack of things to talk about around that cuppa, though...I'm sure!)

What cool webs! The boys would tell you that Spi.derman made those, you know. ;)

We've got rain in the forecast today and tomorrow, which will be a great aid to my grass seeds filling in the brown patches in the front yard. They've lifted our water restriction a bit now, so we can water on Tues. and Saturday with sprinklers.
