Another Seizure...

Michael had another seizure in the night (around 12:30). It was a pretty strong one. He really wrestled around with this one. I asked him this morning if he knew he had one and he said he did. We had rain in the night and we heard a boom and always wonder if it is thunder or Michael hitting the floor...it is a familar sound. We went to his room and he was on the floor shaking and moaning. It is a sight I will never get used to, but always thankful he comes out. It takes usually takes about an hour before he "comes to" and can move around and he will only answer yes or no. He is exhaused and slept late this morning. I called his work and told them he would'nt be coming in today. He was up and ready (too late to get there on time) but fully expected he was going. He was glad when I told him he was staying home.

He did just fine the rest of the day. We have not 'upped' his meds any more. The Dr. increased him about a year ago. I'm thinking something sets him off, but don't know what last night. I think his last one was last Christmas Day (night) after we played games all evening in flickering lamp-light. Maybe the lightening last night?? Only the Lord knows.....

Hi Sandy, so sorry to hear about Michael. I'm sure it's very hard to watch him go through this. Please tell Michael we're thinking about him and miss him. I bet a big cookie might make him feel better. We think of you all often and miss spending time with the Frahm's.
Much love,
Steph Tietjen

I'm just catching up on reading blogs so this is the first I've heard about Michael. You are so right...the Lord knows EVERYTHING and isn't it wonderful how HE takes care of him when you are so helpless? Praise God you're not hopeless!!! Love you sistah...praying that these things will space further and further apart!
